Master on Jadeite Cabbage
This work is inspired by the National Palace Museum's collection of “Jadeite Cabbage, Qing dynasty”. The artifact, from the 19th century, is a sculpted jadeite in the shape of a cabbage and is one of the National Palace Museum's most renowned collections. Our designer places the focus on the cricket that is sitting on top of the cabbage. In this work, the cricket is enlarged and animated, adding a surprising twist to the famous old artifact.

作品介紹
創意來源自國立故宮博物院院藏品「清 翠玉白菜」，保留菜片的寫實度和傾斜姿態，但將菜葉上的螽斯放大，添以逗趣的神情，有如正在向世界宣示自己的茁壯，創造翠玉白菜不同以往的形象。

工藝賞析
有別於直接復刻古物，加入屬於當代的詮釋，以更年輕的語彙來發掘古物不一樣的靈魂，透過更擬人、更幽默趣味的方式，打造出深具文化的療癒小品；設計師藉由把螽斯可愛化的放大，白菜好像是螽斯的舞台，讓牠終於有一天可以站在最上面，成為作品的主角。
