If the Ding Cauldron of Duke Mao wants a break
This work is inspired by the National Palace Museum's collection of “Ding Cauldron of Duke Mao, late Western Zhou dynasty”. The artifact, from roughly three thousand years ago, is a worshipping tool in the Zhou dynasty, and is one of the National Palace Museum's most renowned collections. Our designer redesigns the artifact by converting the patterns on the cauldron into cute emojis and letting the three-thousand-year-old artifact to take a break, adding a fun twist to the artifact’s solemn character.

作品介紹
創意來自於國立故宮博物院院藏品「西周晚期 毛公鼎」。設計師重新詮釋文物，將鼎上的紋樣轉化為可愛的表情符號，讓這件三千年的器物暫時「坐下來」，為原本莊重的氣質增添一絲趣味。內部文字取自毛公為感謝周宣王，因此鑄鼎紀事，希望子孫「永寶永享」。

工藝賞析
有別於直接復刻古物，加入屬於當代的詮釋，以更年輕的語彙來發掘古物不一樣的靈魂，透過更擬人、更幽默趣味的方式，打造出深具文化的療癒小品；胖胖短短的三隻腳，是蹲低休息，也是跳高前的蓄勢待發；俏皮的鼎緣把手，看起來像可愛的兔耳朵，也像充滿活力的高舉雙手；鼎緣紋飾偷偷加點弧度，看起來就像微笑的表情；最後，鼎器最重要的功能是「鑄鼎紀事」，毛公鼎的銘文極為著名，也是當今出土的鼎器中擁有最長銘文的（共有500字），主題是感念周王對自己的重用、期許與教誨，所以鑄鼎望子孫永寶用。故作品鼎內也刻有「永寶永享」的四字迴文，藉以期許自己努力的成果也將永寶永享。
